On July 2, 2026, Tesoro releases La Rosa, the lead single from the band's forthcoming studio album.

For over two decades, Tesoro has built its identity around acoustic guitars, world influences, and a relentless passion for live performance. What began when co-founders Justin Fernandez and Brian Scott met in a Tucson high school guitar class has evolved into a musical journey spanning multiple albums, hundreds of performances, and listeners around the world.
Now, the band is taking its next step forward.
La Rosa represents an evolution of the Tesoro sound. While the song remains rooted in the acoustic guitar foundation that has always defined the band, it ventures into darker and more cinematic territory. Driven by a powerful vocal performance from Juliet Fernandez and layered with atmospheric textures, soaring melodies, and dynamic arrangements, La Rosa explores themes of self-worth, expectation, and the search for meaning.
At its heart, the song asks a simple question:
What if the thing we've been chasing was already within us?
The lyrics reflect on the burdens we carry, the expectations we place upon ourselves, and the realization that fulfillment may not come from achievement, status, or validation, but from learning to stand fully present in who we are.
Longtime supporters of Tesoro will hear familiar elements woven throughout the song, but they'll also discover a band unafraid to push beyond its traditional boundaries. The result is a sound that feels both familiar and entirely new.
Over the years, Tesoro has released multiple studio and live recordings, performed throughout the Southwest, and earned praise from fans, media, and fellow musicians alike. Tucson's KXCI 91.3 FM has regularly featured the band's music and welcomed Tesoro for numerous live in-studio performances, helping introduce their music to audiences both locally and beyond. Zia Records famously dubbed the group the "Flamenco Rock Kings," a nickname that has followed the band throughout its career.
With La Rosa, Tesoro begins a new chapter—one that embraces the band's roots while expanding its creative horizons.
We invite you to listen, share, and join us as this journey continues.
La Rosa is available on all major streaming platforms beginning July 2, 2026.
Thank you for listening.
